A BARANGAY kagawad on Thursday night was shot dead in front of a store in Bgy. Cabuoan, Sta. Maria, Laguna.
Sta. Maria police chief Capt. Eviener Amante Boiser identified the victim as village councilor John Arvy Vispo.
Vispo died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.
Suspect Reynald Ikling surrendered to the police hours after the killing.
“Una nang nagkaroon ng matinding away ang dalawa sa naganap na inuman hanggang sa magkaroon ng matinding away,” said Boiser.
The official said that murder charges are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
