Calatagan, Batangas – THE Sangguniang Barangay of Masili successfully conducted a dynamic and purpose-driven team building and training activity on July 4–6, 2025, at Shyville Beach Resort, Calatagan, Batangas. The three-day event empowered participants through focused discussions on Level 1 Gender Sensitivity and ongoing initiatives toward Barangay Drug Clearing.
Participants included a diverse and dedicated group comprising the Sangguniang Kabataan, BCA officers, VAWC, Barangay Quick Response Team (BQRT), Barangay Tanods, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Daycare Worker, (BNS), Persons with Senior Citizens, Disabilities (PWDs), Solo Parents, BESU, Street Sweepers, and other essential community frontliners.
A key highlight of the event was a lecture on drug clearing efforts delivered by Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS) Glen Pajanustan, accompanied by Patrolwoman Staff Sergeant (PSSg) Evalor Laguardia of Calamba City Police Station. During the lecture, PSMS Pajanustan reported that out of 54 barangays in the city of Calamba, 25 have already been declared as drug-cleared, signifying remarkable progress in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign in the city.

Simultaneously, Ms. Jasmin Siman facilitated the Level 1 Gender Sensitivity Training, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, mutual respect, and gender-responsive governance at the grassroots level.
Beyond the lectures, the event also featured engaging team-building games and challenges aimed at strengthening cooperation, morale, and camaraderie among participants. Winners were awarded prizes, adding a festive note to the event.
The elected Barangay officials, led by Barangay Chairperson Hon. Rohnell Malabanan, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all participants, resource speakers, and organizers. They underscored the importance of sustained education and unity in enhancing public service and building a more inclusive community.
