RIDING-IN-TANDEM armed men shot dead a former driver-aide now a staff member of 1st District Batangas Rep. Eric Buhain in Balayan, Batangas.
Killed was Edgardo Sanbuenaventura Jr., 51, of Bgy. District 10, Balayan, Batangas.
The victim died on the spot from 11 gunshot wounds.
Balayan police chief Maj. Domingo Ballesteros Jr. said the victim was on his way home on a motorcycle when he decided to buy pizza for his family at a pizza store near a flea market in Bgy. Ermita-Calzada at 4:55 p.m. on Friday.
The victim had just alighted from his motorbike and was walking towards the pizza stall when shot by the suspects riding-in-tandem.
Recovered at the crime scene were 11 empty shells from a cal. 45 pistol.
“We’re are eyeing personal grudge as motive for the killing. Mukhang meron matinding galit ang mga suspect, tinadtad ng bala ang biktima,” Ballesteros said.
Ballesteros said they are reviewing the CCTV footages in the area for possible identification and arrest of the gunmen.
