
POLICE on Sunday arrested a British national and his Filipino cohort following the confiscation of more than P400,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Pampanga.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. identified the suspects as Philip Joseph, 53, British national; and Duane Manuel Bariso, 45, both residents of Angeles City.
The suspects were arrested around 3:37 p.m. on Sunday in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the San Fernando City police, Pampanga 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Pampanga Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in Bgy. Baliti, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Confiscated from the suspects were 12 plastic sachets of shabu worth P442,000, the marked money, a pouch, one cellphone, and a car.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“Continuous operations are being carried out as PRO3 strengthens its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs to achieve a drug-free Central Luzon,” Hidalgo said.
