Businessman shot dead in Batangas

AN assassin shot dead a businessman in front of the municipal hall in Rosario, Batangas.
The victim was Anselmo Javier Jr., a resident of Bgy. Bayawang, Rosario town.
A report submitted to Rosario Municipal Police Station chief Lt. Col Rheden M. Manalo showed the victim was inside an Isuzu Traviz vehicle at the parking lot of the Rosario Municipal Hall when the lone suspect wearing helmet and raincoat arrived and shot Javier repeatedly before fleeing at 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
The businessman was rushed by responding policemen to Sto. Rosario Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dra. Maricel I. Amada.
Recovered at the crime scene were eight fired cartridge casings for cal. .45 pistol.
Police are checking the CCTV footages at the crime scene for possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
