CAMP VICENTE LIM, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna – Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested two businesswomen allegedly involved in “Sangla-Kolekta” modus during an entrapment operation in Bgy. Molino 2, Bacoor City, Cavite.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cavite field head Lt. Col. Bryan Andulan identified the arrested suspects as Sheryll Villanueva De Guzman and Sharon Peûaflorida Quiaoit.
De Guzman and Quiaout are facing charges for swindling, estafa and falsification of public documents.
According to Andulan, the operation stemmed from a complaint filed by 60-year-old Rosalinda Alcantara, saying she was enticed by the suspects to enter in a “Sangla-Kolekta” scheme.
The sweet-tongued suspects claimed that they are the owner of condominium unit 209 located at Urban Deca Homes-Hampton, Bldg. 16 in Pamela, Cavite.
The suspects had the condo unit rented by their clients in the amount of P100,000.
Although the victim agreed to the transaction, Alcantara got suspicious when she met with the other victims who also fell prey to the same modus of the suspects. They decided to seek the help of the CIDG-Cavite.
According to Andulan, upon verification with the Property Management officer of Urban Deca Homes-Hampton, they found out that the two women are not the
registered owners of the mentioned condo unit.
The CIDG-Cavite immediately launched a sting that led to the suspects’ arrest.
