
TWENTY wanted men were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cavite during the 12-day anti-crime operations in Cavite province.
A report to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 4-A regional chief Col. Marlon Santos by Cavite-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit provincial officer Lt. Col. Benedict Poblete showed the operations were conducted from January 9 to Jan 20, 2023.
Among those arrested was a most wanted person in the regional level, four in the provincial level, and 16 other wanted men.
Poblete said that on January 9, they arrested Allan Fresnido and Marife Robiños for violation of Presidential Decree 957 (The Subdivision and Condominium Buyers’ Protective Decree) and swindling/estafa under Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code.
Last January 11, Geodino Sapida was arrested for estafa through falsification of public document, Ernesto Ventanilla for violation of Republic Act 9262, and Jumer Valiente for robbery.
Lawmen nabbed on January 12 Fernando Tienzo, a most wanted person in the provincial level, for violation of Access Device Regulation Act of 1998 (Credit Card Violation Act) and Nigerian nationals Chinaesom Nwadik, Chileta Iwunze and Bright Okoro, all for estafa in relation to Republic Act 10175.
Other felons were arrested for charges ranging from unjust vexation, illegal gun possession, violation of the cybercrime law, extortion, homicide and illegal drugs.
