
FOUR most wanted persons in Calabarzon region, including a drug group boss, were arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in separate operations in Rizal, Cavite and Laguna.
Among those nabbed was Abdanie Abdullah Esmael alias “Jamil Macarido Ampuan/Jam,” the no. 4 in the regional most wanted list wanted for murder.
Esmael was arrested by the CIDG – Cavite Provincial Field Unit in Tropical Village, Pabahay 2000, Bgy. San Francisco, Gen. Trias City, Cavite.
According to CIDG, Esmael is the leader of the “Abdullah Drug Group” engaged in illegal drug trade and carnapping in General Trias City.
Esmeraldo Molina Tapar Jr. was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Tapar Jr. was arrested by operatives of the CIDG – Rizal Provincial Field Unit in Summer Village, Bgy. Mayamot, Antipolo City, Rizal.
Combined members of the CIDG-Laguna Provincial Field Unit and other PNP operating units arrested Edison Ibañes Sayas by virtue of a warrant for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 issued by Hon. Arnold Rimon Martinez, Presiding Judge of the RTC Cabuyao City, Laguna.
No bail was recommended for violation of Section 5 while P200,000 in bail was ordered for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165.
Arrested by CIDG-Laguna PFU was Donato Espiritu Gasta in Bgy. San Benito, Victoria, Laguna for theft, with no bail recommended.
Authorities said Tapar Jr., Sayas and Gasta were listed as Regional Most Wanted Persons of the Police Regional Office 4A.
CIDG director Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. said the arrests were proof of their dedication to suppress wanted criminals throughout the country.
“Our program will remain aggressive in enforcing the law and holding offenders accountable,” said Caramat.
