SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Monday led fellow lawmakers in attending the project presentation of a 4-story, 20-classroom building for the Bauan Integrated Technical High School (BITHS) in Bauan, Batangas.
He said the new school building is a testament to the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s steadfast commitment to promoting the welfare of the Filipino youth through access to quality education.
Aside from Luistro, the Speaker was accompanied in the event by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., and several members of the Quad Committee — Reps. Robert Ace Barbers, Joseph Stephen Paduano, Johnny Pimentel, Romeo Acop, Dan Fernandez, Jonathan Keith Flores, and Ramon Rodrigo Gutierrez.
Speaker Romualdez also bared that he had discussed with appropriations chairman, Rep. Elizaly Co, the possibility of allocating funds for two more new buildings for BITHS to accommodate more students in the area, an announcement met with cheers from the audience composed of students, residents and officials from the second district of Batangas.
As envisioned, the new school buildings are designed to cater to the growing number of students in the region, ensuring that they have the facilities needed to excel in their academic pursuits. With 20 classrooms, the building will provide a conducive learning environment for students.
He said the construction of new school buildings is part of a broader initiative by the Marcos administration to enhance the country’s educational facilities, recognizing that investment in the education sector is crucial to securing a brighter future for the nation.
According to the Speaker, the Marcos administration aims to address overcrowded classrooms, enhance learning conditions, and provide students with modern facilities that foster both academic and personal growth.
Speaker Romualdez called on all stakeholders to remain united in their efforts to uplift the country’s educational system, emphasizing that quality education is a shared responsibility that requires continuous collaboration.
