DA-CAR continues to link farmers to buyers, 7.8 MT of cabbage sold

IN a continued effort to support local farmers facing challenges in selling their produce, the Department of Agriculture-Cordillera (DA-CAR) has once again taken proactive measures.

DA-CAR sold around 7.8 metric tons (MT) of salvaged cabbages on January 6. The cabbages, which were sourced from La Trinidad Trading Post, found new markets in various areas within La Trinidad, Tuba, and Sablan.

As part of the extended efforts, DA-CAR, on January 9, expanded its reach by bringing 7.5 MT to E-CARE, a non-government organization. The agency also brought 7.5 MT tons to Kalinga, 4 MT to Isabela, Nueva Ecija, and Manila, and 3 MT to the DA-Central Office, with plans to reach additional places such as Bulacan and Region IV-A in the succeeding days.

To recall, DA-CAR also sold 3.1 MT of cabbages to the different government agencies in Baguio City last January 5.
