The free diabetic retinopathy screening has been conducted in partnership with the Ophthalmology Department of Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) conducted at the municipal gymnasium on November 10, 2022.
Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydionco calls on all diabetic patients in the region to avail of the free mobile eye screening. “We will be visiting more communities this year and seek out patients, especially those living in GIDAs. Kailangang lahat ng may sakit na diabetes ay masuri at mabigyan ng tamang gamot at operasyon sa mata upang hindi sila tuluyang magkaproblema.”

The next mobile eye screening will be conducted in the town of Caba, La Union on March 9-10, 2023.
