THE Department of Health on Wednesday launched “Resbakuna for Kids” vaccination program for children aged 5 to 11 in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
Around 200 kids, who are residents of the city, joined the vaccination program held at the Sky Ranch theme park in Tagaytay City.
Undersecretary Roger Tong-An of the Department of Health and DOH-CHD Calabarzon Assistant Regional Director Dr. Leda Hernandez led the ceremonial vaccination rollout.
Tagaytay City Vice Mayor Reymond Ambion, councilor Athena Tolentino, Cavite 8th district Congressional candidate Aniela Bianca Tolentino, Provincial health officer Dr. Nelson Soriano and SM Malls assistant vice president for Mall Operations Lorenzo Leon Calingasan IV graced the program.
All vaccinated kids were given carousel rides, gift packs, free food and free face paint and balloons.
Tagaytay City health officer Dr. Liza Capuspus and Provincial health team leader Dr. Armida Camposagrado led the administration of the vaccine to the children.
The event looked like a birthday party, where some children wore costumes.
Other towns and cities in Cavite will start their “Resbakuna for Kids” on Monday.
Parents were encouraged to register their children online for the vaccination process.
