MORE than 600 members of the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (KADAMAY) on Wednesday withdrew their support from the CPP-NPA-NDF and denounced terrorism during a ceremony held in Bgy. Sapang Palay, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 headed by Col. Wilson Santos facilitated the mass withdrawal of support of the KADAMAY members from the CPP-NPA-NDF.
The activity was highlighted with the signing of an Oath of Allegiance of the KADAMAY members.
Baccay urged other rebel members to return to the fold of the law.”I am once again urging those who are still actively fighting the government to lay down their arms and embrace other peaceful means to attain their sought after changes.
Our government has several programs to retool you so that you could all become even more productive members of our society,” Baccay said.
