A FORMER militia member of the New People’s Army on Sunday surrendered to authorities in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija.
City police head Lt. Col. Palmyra Guardaya identified the surrenderer as “Ka Aladin,” 50, of Bgy. Conversion, Pantabangan.
“Ka Aladin” also turned over two hand guns, a cal. 38 revolver and a converted cal. 22 to the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company headquarters at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
2nd PMFC chief Lt. Col. Ranny Casilla said “Ka Aladin” was a former member of the Milisyang Bayan/Pasabilis under alias “Ka Emy’s” group in 1998.
“Ka Aladin’s” surrender was facilitated through the conduct of a joint internal security operations in Bgy. Luna, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.
Nueva Ecija top cop Col. Jess B. Mendez said the operation was conducted in line with the “Oplan Balik-Loob” program of the government and through the efforts of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Task Force-ELCAC in the campaign against insurgency.
