Antipolo City, April 19, 2025 – A FIRE broke out early Saturday morning at the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage International Shrine, commonly known as the Antipolo Cathedral, located in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City.
According to a report forwarded at 4:20 PM by FO1 Rolland Ray B. Cultivo to the Tactical Operation Center (TOC) of the Antipolo Component City Police Station, the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 AM in the candle stand area of the cathedral.
Responding promptly to the scene, a team led by FO3 Kevin Kaizar G. Alejo, serving as the Ground Commander, arrived at 8:31 AM. The fire was swiftly brought under control just four minutes later, by 8:35 AM.
Initial estimates place the damage at around Php 80,000.00. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. The fire was classified under a first alarm status.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
