AN ex-member of the Mayor’s Anti-Crime Group (MAC-G) of Tanauan City was killed in a gun attack in the city.
Slain was Nolasco Bucad, 57, of Bgy. Boot, Tanauan City, Batangas.
A report submitted to Tanauan City police chief Lt. Col. John Rillan showed the victim was sitting on a motorcycle around 150-meters away from the barangay hall when shot repeatedly at 8 a.m. on Monday.
Bucad died on the spot.
Police are pursuing the gunmen and investigating the motive for the killing.
MAC-G is composed of armed civilians formed during the incumbency of Tanauan City Mayor Antonio “Thony” Halili.
The group was created to help the mayor in his campaign to fight illegal drugs and other criminalities in Tanauan City.
