PILA, LAGUNA — IN a move to bring public service directly to communities, Laguna Governor Sol Aragones announced that the provincial government’s flagship “People’s Day” program will no longer be held at the Capitol Grounds but will instead rotate across all municipalities in the province.
Gov. Sol’s initiative aims to deliver essential services directly to Lagunenses ,including medical consultations through the Gob Sol App, support for small vendors, and strict tax enforcement to ensure fair contributions. She also underscored the importance of promoting local pilgrimage tourism, urging residents not to travel abroad when Laguna already has spiritual and historical infrastructure, especially in towns like Pila.
“Dapat ang pera ng Laguna ay umiikot mismo sa Laguna,” she added, pushing for economic circulation within the province. Local leaders expressed support for Gov. Sol’s grassroots approach.
Pila Mayor Queen Alarva called it a “people power initiative”, while Vice Governor JM Carait pledged to provide free legal services.
Board Member Jam Agarao also affirmed her role in strengthening health services in partnership with the provincial government.
