Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez directs House Secretary General Reginald S. Velasco to immediately endorse to the Senate the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte filed by 215 members of the House, or more than one-third of its members, on Wednesday (Feb. 5, 2025). Under the 1987 Constitution, a verified complaint or resolution of impeachment filed by at least one-third of all the Members of the House, “shall constitute the Articles of Impeachment and trial by the Senate shall forthwith proceed.”
