San Fernando City, La Union – Ilocos region welcomed the newly installed Philippine National Police Regional Director Brig. Gen. Westrimundo D. Obinque as he assumed the post last Wednesday, March 2, 2022, during a turnover of leadership ceremony held at the Police Regional Office 1 at Camp Brig. Gen. Oscar Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union.
The mantle of leadership was turned-over by outgoing Brig. Gen Emmanuel B. Peralta.
Obinque is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1992 and was formerly assigned to the Office of the Chief Philippine National Police (PNP) before designated as regional director for the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
Peralta, on the other hand will be transferred to the PNP’s Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development in Camp Crame.
