THE local Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in General Trias City, Cavite on Friday launched its maiden job fair for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
The event, which was held at the Robinson’s Place GenTri in Bgy. Tejero, was conducted in coordination with the Office of the Mayor.
GenTri PESO head Carol Beltran said it was the first in the province that they opened a job opportunity to handicap persons and seniors.
Among the companies that joined the job fair were the Concentrix, MMA Competent Manpower and General Services, American Insurance Association, and Fieldman Services Corporation.
Government agencies like PhilHealth, SSS and Pag-Ibig Fund also joined the one day job fair.
Meanwhile, the city Social Welfare and Development Office also offered free training to all the applicants.
