AYON sa nilabas na nilabas na Civil Service Commission (CSC) Resolution No. 2500229, Junior High School (Grade 10) at Senior High School (Grade 12) graduates na nasa ilalim ng K to 12 curriculum ay eligible na sa mga first-level government positions gaya ng clerical, trade, craft, custodial, at iba pang sub-professional work sa parehong supervisory at non-supervisory roles.
Inamyendahan ng CSC and educational requirements para sa first-level government positions para maqualify ang mga senior high school graduates sa government service.
Ayon pa sa komisyon, ang bagong polisiya ay naayon sa qualification standards at nagbibigay ng oportunidad sa mga kabataang Pilipino na makasama sa serbisyo sibil.
“The revised education standards do not apply to positions that require specific higher education degrees or the practice of professions regulated by board laws,” dagdag pa ng CSC.
“It is emphasized that prospective applicants must meet the other qualification requirements of the positions, such as relevant training, experience, and eligibility for purposes of appointment to said positions,”
“Appointment in government is also discretionary on the part of the appointing officer or authority in accordance with existing civil service law, rules, and regulations,” paliwanang pa ng komisyon.
