Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, assisted by Mindanao Development Authority Secretary Leo Tereso Magno and DUMPER Party-list Rep. Claudine Bautista-Lim, leads the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) program rollout to 3,000 beneficiaries at the El Pueblo, Countryside Road, Davao City Thursday (Sept. 5, 2024). A joint initiative of the House of Representatives and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the program seeks to help indigents, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents and IPs amid rising food prices. Present during the event are more than 180 district and party-list House members led by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. other local government officials.
