A WOMAN in Cebu was arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation-Anti Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) who forced her three minor sisters into cybersex.
The arrest was made after an Argentinian national, Víctor Daniel Ibarra, was arrested in Sydney, Australia, for possession of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials of the rescued victims.
The information was relayed to the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Center, which tipped off the NBI, leading to a raid on the Cebu home of Ibarra’s Filipina fiancé in Ronda municipality.
According to the NBI, the Pinay suspect forced her young sisters to perform lewd acts in front of cameras and later distributed them on the internet.
The NBI-AHTRAD, along with the NBI-Central Visayas Regional Office, and social workers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Region 7, immediately launched the rescue operation.
Charges for violation of Section 4 of Republic Act 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003), as amended, and violation of Section 4 of Republic Act 9775 (Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009) in relation to Republic Act 10175 are being readied for filing in court against the arrested woman.
