THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has launched its “Libreng Sakay” Program to provide free transportation services for affected commuters.
This initiative aims to ease the burden experienced by the commuting public and to ensure continued access to safe and reliable travel options during the disruption.
The “Libreng Sakay” program will be implemented from April 16 to 17, 2026, operating daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
To support this effort, the NBI will deploy four (4) shuttle buses, each with a seating capacity of twenty-eight (28) passengers, to service major routes commonly traversed by jeepneys:
• PHILCOA to Lawton via Quezon Avenue
• Monumento to Pasay Rotonda via Rizal Avenue
The Bureau assures the public that the operation of these shuttle services will be conducted in an orderly and coordinated manner to ensure the safety and convenience of all passengers.
This initiative reflects the NBI’s continuing commitment to support the commuting public in times of disruption and to uphold the welfare of Filipino citizens beyond its core law enforcement mandate.
The NBI encourages the public to avail of these services responsibly and to remain cooperative in ensuring smooth and safe transport operations.
