PHILIPPINE National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos yesterday announced that the National Police Clearance System being implemented natiowide has netted a wanted person .
The NPCS is a comprehensive, fast, reliable and convenient online system, which helps detect persons wanted for criminal offenses, once they seek the police clearance.
Members of the Kalibo Municipal Police Station arrested Minerva Relojas, a 27-year-old resident of Torrres Road in Bgy. Linabuan Sur in Banga, Aklan when he went to the station to apply for a national police clearance.
Carlos said that upon verification of the information provided by the NPCS applicant to the Kalibo policemen for her online application, the officers discovered that she has a pending warrant of arrest for estafa issued by Judge Ramsey Domingo Pichay of the Parañaque City Regional Trial Court on Sept. 9, 2021.
The judge ordered the accused to post an P18,000 bail for her temporary freedom.
