DAVAO City Rep. Paolo Duterte has offered a P1-million reward for any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect in the rape-saying of an architect in the city.
Vlanche Marie Bragas, 28, of Megaville Subdivision in Calinan, was sexually assaulted before she was murdered and her body was found in an open canal in Bgy. Dacudao in Calinan District, according to police.
Bragas body was covered with dried banana leaves when found in Bgy. Dacudao at around 8 a.m. on May 17.
“As we, the Davaoeños, continue to seek justice for Ms. Bragas, we offer a P1-million reward to anyone who can tell us the whereabouts of the suspect/s,” Duterte said.
The solon was saddened by the news and expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family. He said the victim, just like any other resident of the city, was doing the best she can every day for a living and her future.
“Ms. Vlanche Marie Bragas is an ordinary Davaoeña who strives hard every day for her future and her family. I, together with the Bragas family, mourn her death,” Duterte said.
Bragas was reported missing at 12:30 a.m. on May 17. She was last seen riding a yellow electric tri-wheeler vehicle near Crossing Fausta in Calinan.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has formed a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Bragas to resolve the case.
