Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- COMBINED operatives of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4A, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Cavite Police Provincial Office, Dasmariñas City Police Station, PNP Drug Enforcement Unit 4A, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 4A seized Php1,360,000.00 worth of shabu and Php 840,000.00 worth of marijuana from 3 High Value Individuals (HVI) in a drug bust operation on February 8, 2024, at a fast-food parking lot in Brgy. Paliparan 3, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Based on the report, about 2:30 PM of said date, said operatives arrested the suspects, alias “Popoy,” 42, alias “Madie”, 38, and alias Khalix, identified as child in conflict with the law (CICL). All are residents of Brgy San Dionisio, Dasmariñas, Cavite who were caught in the act of selling suspected shabu.
Recovered from their possession were 2 knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing more or less 200 grams valued at Php 1,360,000.00, 7 pieces of marijuana bricks weighing 7 kg valued at Php 840,000.00, buy-bust money and other drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, about 8:00PM on the same date, a drug suspect alias “Bryan” was arrested by the members of the Drug Enforcement Team of Dasmariñas City Police Station in a buy-bust operation at Brgy Zone 4, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Recovered from his possession were 1 heat sealed plastic sachet and 1 knot tied plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 100 grams valued at Php 680,000.00 and drug bust money.
PRO CALABARZON Regional Director, PBGEN Paul Kenneth T Lucas, lauded the joint operatives for the successful drug bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the 4 High Value Individuals who were involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs in Dasmariñas City.
“The unwavering commitment and dedication of our joint operatives are truly remarkable, in just one day they were able to catch these high value individuals and seized large quantity of illegal drugs. Patunay lamang ito na hindi titigil ang inyong kapulisan upang tugisin ang mga pusher at high value individuals na ito na syang sumisira sa ating komunidad. Hindi ako makakapayag na sirain pa nila ang kinabukasan ng mga kabataan kagaya ng pagkakasangkot ng isang menor de edad sa bentahan ng illegal na droga. Sisiguraduhin namin na mananagot ang mga suspek na ito at ituturn over natin sa DSWD ang sangkot na menor de edad upang dumaan sa proseso ng rehabilitasyon,” RD Lucas said.
Meanwhile, the arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence will be brought to the Regional Forensic Unit, Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City for chemical analysis and drug dependency examination.
Pertinent documents are now being prepared for filling of charges against the suspects for Violation of Article II of RA 9165 known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2022.
