ABOUT P240,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves hidden in 17 parcels were seized in Imus City, Cavite on Christmas eve.
The marijuana leaves were discovered at the J&T delivery shipping station in Imus City.
Police said that before the discovery of the illegal drugs, employees of the J&T Express became suspicious of the strange smell from the parcels they were preparing for delivery. They immediately informed the K9 Inspection Unit.
Before opening the parcels, a K9 dog sniffed the parcels, which were found to be containing around 2,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P240,000.
A follow-up investigation is ongoing.
