Illegal firecracker manufacturer nabbed in Bulacan

A MAN manufacturing  firecrackers without the necessary permit was arrested by the police in Bocaue, Bulacan.

Nabbed was Edgardo Mendoza alias “Eddie,” 64.

In a report submitted to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, the  Bocaue police was informed that  there was an illegal manufacturing of firecrackers in the area.

Mendoza was caught in possession of  700 pieces of no stick kwitis, 500 pieces of jumbo gold fountain, 28 pieces of unfinished sputnik silver fountain, one  piece of two-layered pagoda and assorted firecracker wrappers, with a total estimated market value of P15,700.

Pasiwen said Mendoza will be charged with  violation of  Republic Act 7183 or An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture,. Distribution and Use of Firecrackers and other Pyrotechnic Devices.

“Our crackdown on illegal manufacturing, using and selling of prohibited firecrackers in Central Luzon is unrelenting. We continue to appeal to the public to report related illegal activities to ensure a safe celebration of the holiday season,”  the Central Luzon top cop said.
