Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- A staggering ₱6,900,000.00 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a High Value Individual (HVI) by combined operatives of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit/Provincial Special Operation Unit of Laguna Police Provincial Office and Biñan City Police Station during buy-bust operation on November 16, 2023 at Brgy Sto. Niño, Biñan, Laguna.
Based on the report, operatives from the PDEU/PSOU of Laguna PPO and Biñan CPS conducted buy bust operation that led in the arrest of alias “Norodin”, male, 32 yrs old, resident of B1 L64, Begonia St., St Joseph Vill. 9 Subd., Brgy. Langgam, San Pedro City, Laguna and listed as HVI in Laguna PPO Drugs Watchlist. Confiscated from his possession were 1 piece vacuum sealed transparent plastic containing suspected shabu weighing 1,000 grams valued at ₱6,900,000.00 and monetary bill as boodle money.
Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth T. Lucas , Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON lauded the significant accomplishment of the joint operatives of Laguna Police Provincial Office during the conduct of buy-bust operation in Biñan, Laguna.
“I am proud with the success of our drug operatives that led in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of huge quantity of illegal drugs. Rest assured that we will continue our investigation to trace the source of this enormous quantity of drugs and we will intensify our campaign against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region to prosecute those who are involved in the illegal drug trade,” RD Lucas said.
The suspect will be charged for violations of Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect along with the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Laguna Provincial Forensic Unit for documentation and laboratory examination.
