SOME P925,000 worth of high-grade marijuana or “kush” on Friday was seized from a male claimant during a controlled operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Central Luzon.
Nabbed was Kristoffer Angelo Delgado, 25, of 113 Doña Soledad Ave., Better Living Subd, Don Bosco, NCR 4th district Parañaque City.
Operatives of the PDEA-CL, along with Bureau of Customs Port of Clark, PDEA-NCR and the local police, conducted the operation.
Confiscated was a package containing the illegal substances from California, USA, which arrived at the Port of Clark last October 24.
“The package was declared as ‘sweater’ but was discovered to be containing the illegal drugs when it underwent x-ray and K9 inspection,” the PDEA-CL said.
The operation yielded one package containing at least 588 grams of “kush,” 45 vape cartridge with marijuana content valued at P925,000, one ID and a cellphone.
Delgado is facing charges for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
