Pasiwen orders inspection of fireworks manufacturers in Central Luzon

By Justine Rich Talusan

A RANDOM inspection of fireworks manufacturers and dealers in Central Luzon was ordered by Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen following a recent firecrackers explosion  in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

The Central Luzon top cop said a coordination is being made with local government units to see to it that all requirements mandated by the Philippine National Police have been complied prior to the issuance of permits to the manufacturers and dealers of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices.

Pasiwen said the move is to avoid mishaps in fireworks manufacturing sites and prevent injuries as well as casualties to workers.

“We will also conduct on-site inspection and confiscation of prohibited firecrackers in public markets,” said the Central Luzon police director.

“At the same time, we continuously appeal to everyone to refrain from using illegal firecrackers to avoid any injuries. Instead of firecrackers, we could all enjoy the Holidays with other forms of merriment,” he added.
