PDEA-Central Luzon nets P800K ecstasy in Paranaque

JOINT operatives led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Central Luzon  on Tuesday arrested a call center agent and seized some 495 pieces of party drugs  or  ecstasy worth P841,500 during a controlled delivery operation in Paranaque City.

Authorities identified the  claimant as  Jan Vino Siwa,  29, of  27 Holland St. Better Living Don Bosco,  Paranaque City.

Seized were one  package containing three  plastic bottles with five  silver pouches of at least  495 pieces  of ecstasy tablets  and an ID.

The PDEA said  the package containing ecstasy arrived at the Port of Clark last September 30.

“PDEA International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service received information from its counterparts that a package containing illegal substances from the Netherlands will arrive at the Port of Clark. This information was transmitted to PDEA Region 3 for interdiction operation,” the PDEA-Central Luzon said.

The operation was also participated by PDEA-Regional Office National Capital Region, Southern Police District, Bureau of Customs Port of Clark,  Parañaque City Police Station, District Drug Enforcement Unit and the District Intelligence Division.

The claimant will be charged with violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
