President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. honors Filipino Olympians following their historic campaign in the Paris 2024 Olympics, headlined by double gold winner, gymnast Carlos Yulo with a heroes welcome in Malacañan Palace Tuesday night (Aug. 13, 2024). They were presented with citations and financial rewards in recognition of their hard work and sacrifices which brought honor to the country. Also present in the event were Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, PAGCOR chief Alejandro “Al” Tengco and Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza, head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office.
