THE Philippine National Police (PNP), led by Acting Director for Intelligence, PBGen Westrimundo D. Obinque , awarded a total of One Million Nine Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php1,920,000.00) to informants who played a crucial role in neutralizing 11 most wanted criminals. The commendable gesture of gratitude took place at the Intelligence Training Group in Camp Crame.

The informants, who wore masks to protect their identities, provided vital information leading to the capture of fugitives involved in serious crimes such as murder, rape, robbery, and carnapping.

PNP Chief PGen Marbil highlighted the importance of community participation in combating criminal activities, stating, “Granting of monetary reward to persons (except government employees) who are instrumental to the arrest/neutralization of most wanted persons is one of the programs of the Philippine National Police which serve as an effective way of encouraging the community’s participation in addressing security-related threats and criminality in the country.”

This initiative demonstrates the PNP’s dedication to collaborating with citizens to ensure the safety and security of the nation. The ceremony not only recognized the bravery of the informants but also emphasized the essential role each individual plays in upholding law and order, creating a safer environment for all Filipinos.
