Baguio City – Christmas holidays will not be complete without the most colorful shrub or one of the smallest trees known as poinsettia.
Residents and visitors can now enjoy the abundant display of red and green colors at the Winaca Eco-Cultural Village at Acop, Tublay, Benguet, a 30-minute drive away from the city.
The Winaca Eco-Cultural Village is one of the four private-owned tourism destinations in Tublay. The three other sites are Polig Farm, Amando’s Lemon Farm, and Beacon Hill Eco- Park.
The potted poinsettias are also for sale to the public for those who want to avail one.
Poinsettias grow to about 0.6–4 m (2.0–13.1 ft) in height.
It is native to Mexico, and included on the Euphorbia family. They are a popular Christmas holiday décor because of their colorful bracts (leaves) during December and with green leaves plants throughout the year.
