Olongapo City-Renowed entertainment producer and PR guru, files his certificate of candidacy as mayoral bet at the SMX Convention Center, SM Central, this city Monday.
Arnold Vegafria, known as the “Manager ng Bayan” for helping local, national talents and political figures, together with eleven (11) of his councilor slate, highlighted his platform and advocacy to help reform his hometown into a progressive and major tourism destination.
Under the banner “Anak ng Gapo,” Vegafria said he hopes to bring back the glory days of the city he knew as a child. He envisions a radical transformation of the city’s skyline and major infrastructures with the goal of revitalizing the city’s long dormant tourist industry and its other key economic and industrial zone.
“I know that it won’t be an easy task but I am confident that with our team’s dedication we can rebuild this city and bring back the economic and tourist boom enjoyed during the time when the former US Naval Facility was here,” he said.
Included in his councilor slate are Ian Vegafria-Bautista, Macky Alonzo, Erick Elmo Ison, Pocholo Galian, Derrick Manuel, Jan Ibarro, Bong Tocayon, Tina De Leon, Oliver Guerrero, Jerome Ducos and Earl Escusa
This is the second time the Vegafria slate ventured into politics, and hoping to gain confidence from the city’s voting populace.
