Pulse Asia: Mga Pinoy naniniwalang ang katiwalian sa gobyerno ay bahagi na ng pulitika

KARAMIHAN sa mga Pilipino ay naniniwalang laganap ang katiwalian sa pamahalaan, habang ang iba ay itinuturing itong “normal” na bahagi ng pulitika sa bansa, ayon sa pinakabagong survey ng Pulse Asia.

Batay sa survey na isinagawa mula Setyembre 27 hanggang 30 sa pamamagitan ng face-to-face interviews sa 1,200 adult na Pilipino, 97 % ng mga lumahok ang nagsabing laganap ang korapsyon sa gobyerno.

Ang naturang survey ay isinagawa halos isang linggo matapos ang malawakang kilos-protesta noong Setyembre 21 laban sa katiwalian, na bunsod ng umano’y multi-bilyong pisong anomalya sa mga proyekto sa flood control.

“Ang pagkakasundo sa pananaw na laganap ang korapsyon sa pamahalaan ay halos pangkalahatan,” ayon sa pahayag ng Pulse Asia.

Tinanong ng Pulse Asia ang mga kalahok: “Sa inyong palagay, gaano kalaganap ang korapsyon sa pamahalaan sa ating bansa ngayon?”

Sa 97 % naniniwalang laganap ito, 78 % ang nagsabing “labis na laganap,” habang 20 % naman ang nagsabing “medyo laganap.”

Dalawang porsyento lamang ang nagsabing hindi nila matukoy kung laganap ito o hindi, habang 1%  lang ang naniniwalang hindi ito laganap.

Karamihan din sa mga Pilipino ay naniniwalang normal na bahagi ng pulitika ang korapsyon.

Sa tanong na: “Ang korapsyon ay normal na bahagi ng pulitika sa ating bansa,” 59 % ng mga sumagot ang pumayag, kung saan 31 % ang “lubos na sumang-ayon,” at 28 % naman ang “bahagyang sumang-ayon.”

Samantala, 30 % ang hindi sumang-ayon — 17 % ang “bahagyang hindi sumang-ayon” at 13 % ang “lubos na hindi sumang-ayon.” 11 % naman ang hindi makapagsabi kung sila ay sang-ayon o hindi.

Ayon pa sa survey, malaking bahagi ng mga Pilipino o 85 % ang naniniwalang tumaas ang antas ng korapsyon sa nakalipas na 12 buwan.

Labindalawang porsyento naman ang nagsabing nanatili lamang itong pareho, habang 3 % lang ang naniniwalang bumaba ito.
