THE incumbent female mayor of Infanta, Quezon was injured in an ambush yesterday. Infanta Mayor Filipina Grace America, 60, sustained a gunshot wound in the right arm, said Quezon police director Col. Joel Villanueva.Villanueva said the ambush occurred at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at the Poblacion while America was in her Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Alvin America.Luckily, America was only hit in the arm while her driver was unscathed.
The mayor came from the church and was on her way home when ambushed.She was rushed to Claro M. Recto Hospital for treatment.Members of the Infanta police station under Maj.
