NAVOTAS Representative Toby Tiangco expressed full support for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) additional cash aid for pregnant women and mothers with children aged 0 to 2 years, emphasizing the importance of maternal and child health during the first 1,000 days of life.
“I welcome the administration’s efforts to expand the benefits under the 4Ps program, especially since this directly supports mothers,” Tiangco said.
“Maternal health is vital to public health because it safeguards the well-being of mothers and ensures newborns are born healthy,” he added.
Tiangco also noted that the DSWD’s F1KD program aligns with the administration’s commitment to combat stunting and malnutrition.
Under the program, a monthly health grant of ₱350 will be provided to female 4Ps beneficiaries who are pregnant and households with children aged 0 to 2 years.
Tiangco commended the Marcos administration’s continuous efforts to improve healthcare and ensure inclusivity in its programs.
“Investing in primary healthcare strengthens the foundation of an effective public health system. It nurtures life and safeguards the guiding light of Filipino homes,” Tiangco said.
We have to commend this administration because we see how they prioritize healthcare for Pinoys.
