A SUSPECT in a robbery case on Wednesday was killed in a follow-up operation by the police in Bustos, Bulacan.
Bulacan police director Col. Rommel Ochave identified the slain suspect as Edgardo Lora Jr., of Blvd. St., Ala-Uli, Pilar, Bataan.
An initial investigation showed a man parked his vehicle in front of a store when the suspect approached him and at gun point forcibly took his sling bag containing P20,000 before fleeing on a motorcycle.
The victim reported the incident to the Bustos police, who issued a flash alarm.
The motorcycle-riding suspect was flagged down at the by-pass road in Bgy. Bonga Menor but didn’t stop.
Instead of yielding, the suspect fired shots at the operatives, prompting lawmen to retaliate.
Recovered at the crime scene were a cal. .9mm pistol loaded with four bullets, nine cartridge cases of the same gun, a sling bag with wallet, a driver’s license, and the stolen sling bag containing the cash.
