THIEVES struck the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Bgy. Poblacion Uno, Pagsanjan, Laguna.
Police saidn the burglary was discovered at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.
An investigation showed the suspects climbed at the back fence and entered into the chapel’s window.
The thieves destroyed the main door and window grills of the parochial office and took the cash money and an Oppo A16K cellphone worth around P6,000.
The suspects then proceeded to the main altar, destroyed the tabernacle and the three donation boxes, enabling them to steal the money inside.
Robbers fled with the cellphone and the stolen money worth around P50,000
Authorities are gathering the CCTV footages in the area for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
