A MINDANAO congressman on Monday hailed the increase in Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez’s ratings in the third quarter of this year, which only emboldens them to work even harder for the Marcos administration’s legislative agenda.
South Cotabato 2nd District Rep. Peter B. Miguel said he is proud and grateful that efforts of the House of Representatives to improve the lives of Filipinos didn’t go unnoticed.
“It simply means we’re on the right track. It resonated with the general public. At least, everything that we did went not just for naught,” Miguel said, referring to all the priority bills the House passed listed under the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).
“It’s a job well done. We’re obviously making progress here because the institution he represents is also the institution where we belong. So, it’s best that we help each other for the sake of the Filipino people who expect a lot from us,” Miguel said.
According to the Third Quarter 2023 survey of OCTA Research, Romualdez’s trust rating increased by six points from 54 percent during the 2nd quarter to 60 percent.
The Speaker’s performance rating also went up by six points from 55 percent in April to June 2023 to 61 percent in the 3rd quarter.
