Vietnamese victim of human trafficking  recued in Tarlac

AUTHORITIES  on Friday rescued a Vietnamese woman  illegally-detained by a gaming firm in  Bgy. Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Oscar Pasiwen, Tarlac Provincial Police Director Col.   Erwin Sanque said rescued was Vietnamese national Ta Thi Luong.

 Personnel of the PNP-Women’s and Children’s Protection Center -Luzon Field Unit led by PEMS Homer Arcano, together with investigator Pat. Maribelle Alvarez, coordinated with the Bamban police for the conduct of a rescue operation on Luong who is working at Hong Sheng Gaming Technology Inc. located  in Bgy. Anupul, Bamban town.

 After coordinating with the manager of the gaming company, the Vietnamese national was  turned over to the police  for interview and verification.

The  operation stemmed from a letter dated September 21, 2022 from   ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Philippines Hoang Huy Chung requesting for immediate investigation and rescue operation of the  victim.

 Accompanied by a Bamban Municipal Social Welfare Development officer, the Vietnamese woman was  brought to Camp Crame in Quezon City.
