THE Batangas Police Provincial Office’s week-long anti-criminality operations have hauled to jail 59 suspects in the province.
In a report to Police Regional Office 4A director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Batangas provincial director Col. Pedro D. Soliba, said the operations were conducted from February 5 to 11.
Of the total number of suspects arrested, 15 were wanted persons, including two most wanted felons.
About 29 persons were caught for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Six operations against illegal gambling resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals and the confiscation of P15,350 in bet money.
One was nabbed for illegal possession of firearm.
The Batangas top cop cited his men for continuously enforcing the law and conducting police operations to keep the community peaceful and safe.
