
COMBINED operatives on Saturday arrested three Nigerian nationals suspected to be members of the West African Drug Syndicate during separate operations in Pampanga and Cavite.

A report to Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen identified the arrested suspects as Chekwbe Nnamani Sunday alias “David,” 28, of Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; and Ifeanyi Augustine Chinweuba alias “Fanny,” 33, of Sampaloc, Manila.
The two were arrested after they conspired to sell illegal drugs to undercover police officers in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit and the Angeles City police at a mall terminal in Bgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.
Confiscated were two plastic bags and two plastic sachets containing shabu weighing approximately 250 grams valued at P1.7 million, the nine P1,000 boodle money topped by the P1,000 marked money.
According to Pasiwen, they are investigating the possible connection of the two suspects to a West African Drug Syndicate notorious for smuggling and distribution of shabu and other dangerous drugs in the country
In Cavite, another Nigerian national tagged as a big-time drug dealer was arrested also on Saturday following the confiscation of more than 500 grams of shabu and powder granules suspected to be drug-making ingredients.
Suspect Ebuka Valentine Ezike, of Governor’s Hill Subdivision, Phase 2, Bgy. Biclatan Gen Trias, Cavite was arrested during a sting in Governor’s Hill Subdivision, Bgy. Biclatan in General Trias Ciity.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 4A- Regional Special Action Team 2 and Regional Special Action Team 1, PDEA-Cavite Provincial Police Office , Regional Drug Enforcement Unit -4A and General Trias police conducted the entrapment.
Recovered from the suspect was a plastic sachet containing more than 500 grams of shabu, one carton box of resealable transparent plastic bag containing brownish granules substance and one resealable transparent plastic bag containing brownish powdered substance, a plastic basin, a weighing scale, plastic bags, scissors, one laptop, three cellular phones and four identification cards.
All three suspects are facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
