
ROUGHLY a year after the spate of abductions, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) finally decided to relieve and confine 11 Regional Headquarters Support Unit officers in view of the continuing saga over the missing sabungeros.
The Acting Regional Director of National Capital Region Police Office, PBGEN Jonnel C Estomo ordered the reassignment of the said personnel due to gravity of offense filed against them by NBI Task Force Against Illegal Drugs (TFAID) over the disappearance of four sabungeros (cockfight enthusiasts) in Cavite.
Former Regional Drug Enforcement Unit Chief PLTCOL Ryan Orapa; PLT Jesus Menez; PSSg Ronald Lanaria, PSSg Ronald Montibon, PSSg Troy Paragas, PSSg Roy Pioquinito, PSSg Robert Raz Jr, PCpl Christal Rosita; PCpl Denar Roda, PCpl Alric Natividad, PCpl Ruscel Solomon were charged of kidnapping and serious illegal detention as well as violation of the Anti-Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance Act.
PBGEN Estomo guaranteed that NCRPO deeply condemns and will never tolerate any form of flagrant violation of human rights, law and order. He further expressed his high sense of confidence and respect to the courses of action being undertaken by the NBI and assured that the NCRPO is anytime willing to cooperate should a need for support or collaboration pertaining to this matter.
“Rest assured that we will cooperate and will not condone any form of lawlessness committed by our men regardless of rank and designation should it be established following due investigation by competent authorities.”
