
COMBINED operatives on Monday arrested two “high-value” drug targets and seized more than P1.2 million marijuana in separate operations in Davao City and Panabo City.
In a report to Police Regional Office 11 director Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr., operatives of the Talomo Police Station – Drug Enforcement Unit led by station chief Maj. Noel Villahermosa and the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Davao City Police Station led by Maj. Reuben Libera, arrested Mark Anthony de Real Ceballos alias “Anton,” a top drug target. Ceballos was nabbed in a buy- bust operation at Purok San Vicente, Lote St., Bgy. Lizada, Toril, Davao City.
The suspect yielded one sack containing blocks of dried marijuana, with fruiting tops weighing at least eight kilos worth P1,280,000, a cellphone, and the marked money. In another operation, personnel of the Regional Special Operations Group- Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit -11, the Panabo City police, 2nd Davao Provincial Mobile Force Company and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Davao Del Norte arrested Jay Carl Paquiao Lalegit alias “Kol,” the top 6 drug personality in Panabo City.
Lalegit was caught in an operation in Garcia corner Magsaysay Streets, Purok Alaska, Bgy. New Pandan, Panabo City. Seized from the suspect were four plastic sachets of shabu worth at least P34,068, a cal. .38 pistol loaded with five live bullets, and the buy-bust money. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
Silo commended the operating teams for the accomplishments as he warned that more operations will be conducted to rid the province of illegal drugs.BUSTED. The “high-value” drug target arrested in Toril, Davao City and the seized dried marijuana worth P1.2 million.
