
Sto. Tomas, Batangas —Atty. Arth Jhun Aguilar Marasigan and Catherine Perez-Jaurigue have secured their second term as City Mayor and Vice Mayor of Sto. Tomas, Batangas, respectively, following the results of the 2025 national and local midterm elections.
The proclamation was held at 1:01 a.m. on May 13, led by Board of Canvassers Chairman Marvin Alcantara, alongside Vice Chairman Atty. Jonathan M. Aldovino and Secretary Dr. Neil Angeles.
From a total of 150 clustered precincts, Marasigan garnered 68,583 votes, defeating his opponent who received 29,251 votes. Meanwhile, Jaurigue earned 69,038 votes, ensuring her continued service as the city’s Vice Mayor.
Joining them are the ten elected members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod: Ross Allan Maligaya, Victor Bathan, Adrian Carpio, Arturo Pecaña, Leovino Villegas, Dr. Helengrace Navarro, Danny Mabilangan, Wilfredo Maliksi, Atty. Raquel Maloles-Salazar, and Proceso Mendoza.
This year’s election was deemed historic in Sto. Tomas, as the Marasigan-Jaurigue slate swept all positions with a 12-0 victory—an unprecedented result that reflects a strong show of unity among Tomasinos.
In his message of gratitude, Mayor Marasigan thanked the people for their overwhelming support and emphasized unity, healing, and continued progress as the city’s shared vision.
“My door will always remain open for every Tomasino,” he said. “Together, let’s build a city marked not just by development, but by collective hope, peace, and service with a ‘Ngiting Tomasino.’”
Vice Mayor Jaurigue likewise extended her appreciation to the community for once again entrusting her with the opportunity to serve.
