THE Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) of the Batangas Police Provincial Office has put to jail 302 offenders of the law.
Batangas police director Col. Glicerio Cansilao said of the total number of felons arrested, 36 are most wanted persons, five are wanted in the regional level, 10 in the provincial level, and 21 in the city/municipal level.
Wanted felon Francisco Maloles, who was charged with two counts of rape by sexual assault, was arrested in Bgy. San Vicente, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
Another suspect, Juan Perez, who is facing murder raps and ranked 6th in the list of most wanted men, was captured in Bgy. Bagong Pook, Lipa City, Batangas.
Cansilao said of the 84 operations against illegal drugs, 96 drug suspects were arrested and an estimated 74.04 grams of shabu and 35.85 grams of marijuana worth P507,774 were confiscated.
In the 46 operations against illegal gambling, up to 117 people were arrested and some P47,107 in gambling bets were seized.
About eight people were arrested and six firearms were confiscated.
The Batangas top cop thanked the people for the continuous support in the anti-criminality law enforcement operations by the police.
